The vision behind James AKA Shock West very custom Dodge Charger R/T, known as Carnage, started early. He recalls sketching the core design as a kid. Years later, after time spent living around the world as part of a military family, that idea came back with him and took shape in the car you see today.
Now as President of Rocket City LX, his Carnage-themed Dodge Charger has been taken to the next level. This build is not just about parts. It is about expression, creativity, and connecting with the next generation of car enthusiasts.
Meet the Owner: Built from a Lifelong Idea
Originally from Panama and raised across different countries, Shock West brings a mix of influences into his work. That background shows up clearly in his Carnage Charger. The build blends art, storytelling, and automotive customization into something that feels personal.
One of the more unique aspects of his process is where inspiration comes from. Shock West often looks to kids for feedback, asking what they like and then finding ways to incorporate those ideas into the car. That approach keeps the build evolving and grounded in creativity rather than trends.
The Vision Behind “Carnage”
At its core, Carnage is built to stand out, but not in a random way. Every surface, color choice, and lighting element ties back to a consistent red and black theme that runs throughout the car.
From the custom reflective wrap to the detailed hood liner and interior work, the Charger carries a unified look whether it is parked at a show or lit up at night. The lighting plays a major role, especially in the engine bay and wheel setup, where red illumination highlights the structure of the build.
It is a vehicle designed to be seen from every angle, with something new to notice each time.
A Custom Approach with MGP
As the build progressed, Shock West knew he wanted the brake setup to match the rest of the car. He was introduced to MGP through someone in his network and immediately connected with the idea of bringing his vision into that space.
The custom MGP Caliper Covers became part of the larger theme. Designed to align with the look of Carnage, they add another layer of detail behind the wheels. It is a small area, but one that contributes to the overall presentation when viewed up close or under lighting.
For Shock West it was important that the covers reflected the same creativity as the rest of the build.
